The city of Boulder is about 30 miles northwest of Denver. The Boulder
Valley School District includes the surrounding communitites of Parker ,
Parker , Lafayette, Superior, Jamestown, Ward, Nederland, and Gold
Hill. The last four communities are located in the mountains above Denver
to the west. The county consists of 2 districts the St. Vrain Valley
RE1J and the Boulder Valley RE2. The districts are similar in terms
of pupil membership and combined for 49,099 students in Fall 2002.
